New Things On Bumblebeading

Recently I've added a few new things to my blog. I added a gadget called "my favoite etsy shops." Every week I'll feature eight etsy shops from etsy.com that I really like. I've also added links to blogs that I like. If you click on the title, you go directly to the blog. I'll update them whenever I see a unique blog. Enjoy the new things to come!

New Ideas in the Works

All of the Christmas decorations are put away and I've been working on a few new ideas for 2010. One is wine bottle jewels that will dress up the evenings wine or champagne bottle and will compliment the beaded wine bottle stop. I'll post a picture soon and put them in my shop. Snow, ice and rain are forecast for the weekend so I'll be indoors working away. Getting my shows all in line for this year and looking forward to each one, the first I believe being at Bay Port High School. Just wanted to say thank you again to everyone for their support and sales as I start another year as Bumblebeading!

Countdown to Christmas

Last week again I had another Craft Show. I was at De Pere High School for the Redbird Show. I did very well with my sister right beside me. My sister Lynn sold her hand made baskets in the booth next to me. I also had my helpers, my two daughters Allie and Nicole. We had lots of fun and even bought some Christmas presents for friends and family. I'm pretty busy making special orders just like Santa. Today my family and I are going to buy our Christmas tree. We normally cut down our tree ourselves, but this year we are going to buy a tree that is already chopped down at Carley's tree lot. The neighborhood Christmas cookie exchange is next weekend. Going to pull out my recipe book and find some favorite Christmas cookies. I might make some carmel corn though. Last night we put my collection of nutcrackers up on the mantel with all of our Christmas stockings. This week we are supposed to get our first big snowfall. On Wednesday night we are going to get 4-8 inches, the storm is going to go into Thursday. It is supposed to snow tonight, tomorrow, and Tuesday too. Above are some of the favorites from the De Pere show.

Tis The Time For Craft Shows

Tomorrow's another day, another craft sale. I'll be at the South West High School from 10a.m.-3p.m. Lately it's been quite chilly here in Wisconsin. No snow, but I'm sure there will be some for Christmas or even Thanksgiving. Snow is expected to fall next week. My kids are really excited, it can't come fast enough for them. We will be spending Thanksgiving with my brother and his family and my mom (my dad's out deer hunting.) Today is my birthday, so my husband and my kids are taking me out for supper, then opening up some presents. Until next time...

Christmas Magic

Here are a few cute Christmas quotes I really like:

  • Like ornaments, thoughts of special people brighten the season and warm our hearts.

  • The object of a new year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.

  • I once bought my kids a set of batteries for Christmas with a note on it saying toys not included.

  • Anyone who believes that men are the equal of women has never seen a man trying to wrap a Christmas present.

  • Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.

  • The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.

  • It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.

  • Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.

  • Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts.

  • Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration is being wreathed in smiles.

  • Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!

Tis The Season

Well it's that time of year again. Start to bring out the Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations. Hang the Christmas lights on the house before the snow falls. Everyone's out buying gifts and family visiting each other from all over. This is also a good time for Bumblebeading. My items are really good for little teacher presents for the holidays, like my bookmark, or the wine charms. These items are good for relatives, neighbors, or anybody you want to send a holiday present to. My next show will be at South West High School on November 21st. Hope to see you there!
